Um container velho transformado em um café chique na África do Sul

Após anos viajando pelo mundo, chega a hora de se aposentar. Ou pelo menos na atividade de transporte de carga. Foi isso que aconteceu com um velho container de carga de 20 pés no Sul da África.

Graças a uma entidade sem fins lucrativos, “Architecture for a Change”, tornou possível a modificação em Joanesburgo. Operado por Roast Republic, a cafeteria foi forrada com telhas de cortiça feitos a partir de resíduos de cortiça garrafa reciclado. A unidade foi pré-fabricada em uma oficina de concepção-construção e instalado em apenas um dia, graças ao seu sistema construtivo “plug and play”. De acordo com seu lema “café com uma consciência”, Roast Republic emprega e capacita jovens empreendedores de áreas anteriormente desfavorecidas para executar a franquia.
